Ever gone to work a little tired because you forgot to grab a breakfast? If you aren’t a breakfast person, how do you feel when you miss your lunch? And esp after not having supper the previous evening? Ever gone without food for several days, only to eat one meal, and have to survive another few days without food again? How do you expect your concentration would be? How about your memory? Add to that some intolerable heat and a long walk to school that makes you sweat all the water and salt out of your body… now how do you think you would feel?
This is what it’s like basically every single day for many of the poor Haitian children living in the mountains where Kim O’Dwyer lives and has a school and orphanage (where they do get to eat- every day.) She has a free school set up for these children- with free clothes AND food for them every day. Currently she has 80 children coming to her school. She would like to be able to help more, and is planning a large expansion- if she could just come up with the money!! this is where you and I come in! YAY!!! 
I am waiting to hear from her what the cost of getting that done would be, but I think, with the virality of the internet, we could get HUNDREDS of donations, and THOUSANDS of dollars for those donations! Using the internet as the site for the auction, and the owner of the item providing the photo, and able to ship to whoever the winner is, makes this able to go SO FAR!!! people can donate from all over the world! people can buy from all over the world!! let’s not just stop with us! lets share this, get the word out there, make it as big as we can!!!!!
OK! SO, I have a plan!!! and I am SOOOO excited about it! I was going to do a giveaway for when I hit 1,500 fans just because I love you all ♥ but then, i have also been wracking my brain trying to come up with some way to help this friend of mine in Haiti. Kim O’Dwyer runs an orphanage and a school out there, totally free, relying on the help of good people like you and me! So, here’s my plan!! I thought it would be amazing to give proceeds from an online auction fundraiser in leu of my 1,500 fans.
